Assam Secondary Teachers Eligibility Test (SSA ATET) 2014
The state of Assam also conducts the examination of TET. The examination is named as ATET. It is for candidates who wishes to be teachers in the primary and the also the secondary section. The Sarva Shikhya Abhiyan conducts the Assam TET examination.
SSA ATET 2014 Applying for the exam:
Those who have fulfilled the required qualification can sit for the Assam TET exam. Those who have the previous time can also sit for the exam again.
The SSA Assam TET examination has two stages:
The first is for the primary section—it is for those who wishes to teach classes one to five.
The second stage is for the secondary section—it is for those who wants to teach classes six to eight.
Assam Secondary TET 2014 Eligibility criteria:
The criteria for the primary section requires candidates to pass the higher secondary examination with a minimum of forty five percentages of marks. Moreover they need to hold two years of diploma in elementary education and two years diploma in a special subject.
Or else one has to be a graduate in any stream with a year’s diploma in elementary education.
Now the criteria for the secondary section requires a graduate’s degree with a year’s degree in a special subject and four years degree in elementary education. The cut off percentage in the grads has to be fifty. Otherwise a post graduate candidate with a year’s degree in both elementary education and a special subject can also apply provided the he has managed a minimum of fifty percentages.
All the degrees have to be recognized by the NCTE or should be from a RCI recognized institute.
Assam Secondary TET 2014 Exam pattern:
The total marks in the Assam TET exam are 150. The primary section consists of five sections each of thirty marks. While the secondary section has three sections containing thrity marks and two sections containing sixty marks respectively.
