Maharashtra Teachers Eligibility Test (Maharashtra TET) MH-TET Exam 2013
The state of Maharashtra also conducts the TET exam. The TET exam is mandatory for all those wanting to become teachers. The TET exam in Maharashtra is known as MH TET. The rules of the exams are regulated by the central regulating authority.
The examination has two papers. The first paper is aimed for those who want to teach the primary section that is from standard one to five. The second paper is aimed for those who want to teach the secondary section where there are classes from six to eight.
Maharashtra TET Eligibility criteria:
In order to apply for the primary section the interested candidates should have a higher secondary degree with the minimum marks of forty five percentage. Besides that they should also have at least two years diploma in special subject as well as elementary education. All those undergoing the Bachelors in Education can also apply.
In order to apply for the secondary section the candidates are required to have a graduate’s degree with a minimum of fifty percentages of marks and they should also have a degree in special education or a bachelor’s in education. Those who are post graduate degree holders they can also apply but should have a degree in elementary education as well as in special education.
The degrees should be recognized by the NCTE and the RCI.
The candidates are expected to be fluent in the language which will be chosen as the medium of teaching.
Maharashtra TET Exam pattern:
The examination has two papers. The first paper is for the primary section. This paper has five different parts each having thirty marks each. The second paper for the secondary section has three different parts each consisting of thirty marks and two more parts having sixty marks each. The cut off in the exams are sixty percentages.
