Sikkim Teachers Eligibility Test (Sikkim TET) SK-TET Exam 2013
The Sikkim government arranges and invites students all over the county to sit for the TET exam. The Sikkim TET exam is mandatory for those who want to be teachers. The Teacher’s Eligibility Test in Sikkim is known as SK TET. The TET exam is regulated by the central regulating authority. Being a teacher is a modest job where the teacher has to be dedicated and honest in their service to their students. The success and the future of the students depend upon their teachers.
The Sikkim TET exam has two papers. The first one is the primary paper where the willing teachers will be teaching classes one to five if selected. The second one is for the upper primary where the candidates will be teaching classes six to eight if selected.
Sikkim TET Eligibility criteria:
The primary section has the criteria where the interested candidates have to be higher secondary pass outs with at least forty five percentages of marks. Along with that the candidates should also have a diploma in both special education and elementary education.
The secondary has different criteria where the candidates have to be graduates with fifty percentages of marks at the least along with a degree in special education or a four years degree in education. Post graduates can also apply provided they have a degree in special education and elementary education as well.
All the degrees should be recognized by the NCTE and the RCI.
Sikkim TET Exam pattern:
The Sikkim TET exam has two papers where the primary paper has five different sections each containing thirty marks of MCQs. The upper primary paper has three different sections of thirty marks and two more sections consisting of sixty marks each. The pass percentages in both the papers are sixty percentages. The percentages can be relaxed in the case of SC/ST and OBC.
